VO2 Max Testing

VO2 Max Testing Aerobic Capacity

VO2 Master Analyser

VO2 Max tests are carried out using the VO2 Master Analyser which fits comfortably over your mouth and nose whilst the test is carried out. Typically a Vo2 Max test will take up to 60 minutes. The VO2 Master Analyser is the industry leading test equipment which we have invested in to provide the most accurate and reliable results.

Reliable respiratory and calory metrics enable you to make informed decisions about your training; essential to overcome training plateaus and continue to increase your fitness level.

The following three tests are available to measure your fitness level:

  • VO2 Max
  • Lactate Threshold
  • RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate)

VO2 Max

VO2 Max is the maximum rate that your heart, lungs and muscles can effectively use oxygen during exercise.

Even minor increases in VO2 MAX can increase longevity and long term health.

Lactate Threshold

Lactate threshold is the point at which lactate is produced in the blood at a faster rate than it can be removed leading to fatigue.

Increasing lactate threshold will allow you to train longer before fatiguing.

Even shorter faster events will allow you to maintain higher speeds for longer and improve overall performance.

Training zones are unique to each person, and can vary based on factors like age, genetics, and fitness level to create optimal training programs.

RMR

Resting metabolic rate is the total number of calories burned when your body is completely at rest.

Improving RMR will mean you burn more calories at rest. Knowing your RMR allows you greater knowledge for weight loss, weight gain or performance.
